Árón Taylor-Smith is a multiple BTCC race winner entering into his seventh season of most competitive championship in British Motorsport. Árón began his motorsport career in Ireland, quickly becoming an Irish Kart champion before stepping into the Clio Cup. Along his way he has won races at infamous circuits such as Monza and Imola before returning back to the UK. 2012 marked the start of Árón’s BTCC career which was marked by a spectacular maiden victory in his debut season.
In 2015, Nicolas became the first disabled athlete to compete in the British Touring Car Championship (BTCC) and inspires both disabled and able-bodied individuals worldwide to show that pushing to better yourself regardless of your life situation is possible. 2019 saw Nic returning to the British Touring Car Championship (BTCC) racing with Motorbase Performance and continuing his inspiring journey to achieve his goals in motorsport.
In February 2020, Nic was confirmed as the fourth Team HARD driver in a Volkswagen CC , retaining his ROKiT title sponsorship for the 2020 season. In the final race at Brands Hatch, in round 2 of the championship, Nic scored his first-ever BTCC points finish, a massive achievement from wheelchair bound, to BTCC points finisher.
